Haier Biotech plans to increase investment of 43 million yuan to Chaolian to strengthen the independent and controllable supply chain of Stirling refrigeration technology

On June 7th, Haier Biotechnology announced that in order to continuously improve the barriers to Stirling refrigeration technology, achieve independent and controllable core components, and expand the business layout in the low-temperature field, the company plans to increase the capital of its participating company Shanghai Chaolian Technology Co., Ltd. with its own funds of 43 million yuan through installment payments. Shanghai Chaolian Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Chaolian”) is a leading Stirling refrigeration solution service provider in the world. After the capital increase, Haier Biological’s shareholding ratio increased from 15% to 54.31%.

This merger and acquisition will further enhance Haier Biotechnology’s leadership in low-temperature technology platforms, solve the “neck” problem of the core components of Stirling ultra-low temperature storage boxes, and further extend to new scenarios such as low-temperature treatment, infrared detection, hazardous chemical detection, and low-temperature cryotherapy in the future, providing new impetus for the company’s long-term sustainable development in the low-temperature field.

Stirling refrigeration technology has strong advantages in safety, energy conservation, stability, and other aspects. It uses helium as the refrigeration medium, with a minimum temperature of -196 or below. At the same time, it has higher refrigeration efficiency, saving 50% energy compared to compressor refrigeration, and improving reliability by 100%.
